Frog Secure PW Keeper
An offline encrypted password vault designed to keep credential storage local, understandable, and under your control.
Local security, explained plainly.
- Encrypted local vaultVault contents use AES-256-GCM encryption with additional protection from Android Keystore.
- No account or network accessThe app has no internet permission, online account, WebView, analytics, advertising, or network code.
- Protective defaultsPasswords stay masked, the app locks when backgrounded, secure windows limit screenshots, and copied values are cleared on a best-effort timer.
- Password-protected backupManual encrypted export and import use Android’s system file picker. Import requires confirmation and replaces rather than silently merging a vault.
- Built-in password generationCreate local 16-, 20-, 24-, or 32-character passwords, with confirmation before replacing an existing field.
- Independent review in progressSecurity work is tracked against an app-specific OWASP MASVS and MASTG checklist, with remaining real-device tests documented before release.
Important security note
There is no recovery service and the master password is not stored. Losing the master password means losing access to the vault. Frog Secure PW Keeper is still in testing and is not publicly available yet.
